Whether you’re registered with us already, or interested in joining our register, there’ll be certain information about you that we need. The Data Protection Act gives you the right to know how we intend to use that information.	I am a Personal Assistant / I would like to become a Personal Assistant.
	The information that we request from you on the registration page is necessary so that we can contact you to arrange an interview. Our partnership agreement with Lancashire County Council requires us to interview every Personal Assistant on our register before we may display their details to potential employers. When we come to interview you we will be asking you for more information. This information will be kept on our files, and displayed on the register at www.lancs-pa.org. You have the right to choose what information is displayed on the register; this will be made clear during your interview. We will also require one or more photographs of you to be displayed on your page. The information displayed at www.lancs-pa.org is accessible to registered users only. Those registered users are comprised of the following: West Lancs Peer Support Group (WLPSG) staff members Personal Assistant Employers (PAEs) Organisations or people who offer recruitment support to Personal Assistant Employers Access to your information contained within the register is governed by usernames and passwords, and is monitored within West Lancs Peer Support group. Access to information held on file at West Lancs Peer Support group is made available only to staff members of West Lancs Peer Support Group in positions necessitating such access.
	I am a PA employer / I would like to become a PA employer.
	The information that we request from you on the registration page is necessary so that we can assess your eligibility for access to the data contained within the register. The following people from Lancashire (excluding Blackpool and Blackburn/Darwen) are eligible to register to access data within the register: Personal Assistant employers accessing Direct Payments Personal Assistant employers accessing Independent Living Fund monies Organisations or people, who offer support with recruiting Personal Assistants We may use the information to contact you and/or your care manager to confirm your reasons for registering as a PA employer with www.lancs-pa.org. Access to information contained within the register is controlled by usernames and passwords. You will receive these once we are satisfied with your reasons for accessing the site. You must keep these to yourself, and not allow any other person to access the register unless it is on your behalf. We will keep a record of all contact details at the offices of West Lancs Peer Support Group, along with any correspondence received from / sent to you. We will not sell or reveal any of your details to any person or parties outside of our group.
